Over the past six months I have posed mutiple questions and used the answers to prepare for my holiday in Scotland. Now after it all has been accomplished, I want to extend my thanks to all who answered my posts. My thoughts now. The left-hand driving turned out to be a non-issue. After just a couple of miles away from the airport, I felt comfortable doing the driving. BUT, the traffic in the towns was quite challenging, in fact, more challenging than the single-lane roads with passing places. Overall, I must compliment the drivers in Scotland. They were almost without exception courteous, knowledgeable of the rules even if now and again I forgot and got a couple of honks, and quite generous with the narrow roadways allowing for everyone to keep moving and not get all bent out of shape. I came to trust the Scottish drivers, in fact probably more than I now trust American drivers here at home. The scenery was as spectacular as advertised. The trip overall was magical. And the golf game at the end was the perfect capstone for our holiday. Even given the 20-30 mile-an-hour normal winds on the course, and the 40-50 mph winds gusting now and then, I will always cherish the memories of playing in the place where golf was invented. So, thanks again.
