Going from the US to Edinburgh, returning US in July. If I should test positive before flight to New York, what do I do? Is there a mandatory hotel for visitors until they test negative? Thanks.

There's no special hotel. The onus is on you to find accommodation. You don't have to quarantine but the advice is to stay away from others.

Edinburgh would be a rather expensive place to hang out in a hotel room in July. Massively worse in August when it would probably be quite difficult to find a place on the spur of the moment what with the Festivals and the Tattoo.

I just wanted to make sure that you understood that it takes a negative test ordocumentation of recovery to return back to the US. There is a dedicated thread about documentation of recovery under the Covid section of the travel forum if you want to learn more.
