We were in Glasgow four years ago when fire struck this historic Charles Rennie Mackintosh building. Restoration was nearly complete, but it appears this new fire was so devastating it will not recover. A terrible loss.

We awoke this morning to this devastating news . As longtime lovers of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh , and his brilliant wife , Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh , we are immensely saddened .
I am actually watching the national news at the moment with a lenthy article about the fire ,it is total devastation, there are still pockets of fire burning more than 24 hours after the fire started, from the helicopter video there really does not seem to be much of the building left, a very sad day for a truly iconic building.
