Trying to find some information on the summer ferry times from Kennacraig to Port Ellen. All that is listed on the website right now are winter times. Also looking for Armadale to Mallaig times. These will determine some overnight stays.
The summer timetables will be out at the beginning of 2022. There tends to be little major differences between the summer and winter timetables, so the winter ones are likely to be better for planning.
Really? So in peak season there is only 1 ferry a day going to and from Port Ellen?
For Port Ellen, It looks as though for the later part of the winter there are 2 ferries a day but the times vary from day to day. The one per day is earlier in the winter. The timetables are not the easiest to interpret if you are unfamiliar with them! Winter timetable
For Mallaig/Armadale in the winter there are usually 2 per day, but in the summer there are usually more. In summer there is also the Kylerhea to Glenelg ferry which runs every 15 to 20 minutes with no requirement to book. It is a historic ferry which takes 6 cars. The drive is very scenic too. Glenelg ferry
There will be more ferries in the summer, but not that many more. There is usually only one ferry on a particular route and only in instances like the Islay/Jura ferry will it act almost like a bus. Some islands even in summer are served by only one ferry each way each day.
