We have five nites in Scotland before heading to Edinburg May 7 for two nites before flying home May 9. We will be coming up from Wales and are traveling without a car. Our preference is for no more than two stops. We enjoy small towns and villages, ruined castles and ancient churches, standing stones, Celtic crosses, beautiful scenery.... 10-12 miles walking in a day is no problem.
Arran and Mull look interesting (Linda has been to Skye). St Andrews the Highlands...we are open to suggestions.
Thanks Brad and Linda
Stay in Oban and visit Iona, Mull, and Staffa. Spend at least two nights.
We spent two nights in Oran and loved it. Could have stayed longer.
In addition to Carol's suggestions of Mull, etc., you can take a tiny ferry over to the mostly car-free Isle of Kerrera to walk a nice circuit, past a ruined castle and wonderful scenery.
