Stirling and St Andrews

We are staying in Edinburgh. Is it possible to do Stirling and St Andrews in one day?
Probably possible but I mean enjoy them both in one day?

What are you hoping to see/do in both places? My short answer would be “no”, but that is because I really enjoyed St. Andrews, saw the golf course, visited the golf museum, went to the cemetary to see the graves of both the Morris's, peaked in the campus of St.Andrews University where Prince William met his wife and then enjoyed strolling the town. A visit to Stirling, for me, would encompass exploring more about my Scottish roots, the Battle of Stirling Bridge and Stirling Castle, That, plus the drive, would be too much for me in one day, but it’s all about what you want to see.

Thanks ~ that is what I was thinking. I am not sure what we would want to do in both places but feel like we should just pick one so we have time to explore/walk around!

I personally wouldn't try to visit both in one day. Will you have a car, or are you going on public transport? Even just one of them would be a fairly long day if you want enough time on the ground to explore and experience the place.

We will have a car but I was thinking it might be hard to really see both in one day!
