Need recommendations for lodging for three people in St. Andrews for 5-6 nights in mid-July,2023 and need recommendations. Hotels, apartments or guest houses will work. I was there in May for six nights and stayed at The Rusacks, but prefer three bedrooms this time (or two with a king-sized bed in one) and can't afford their July rates. Off street parking is preferred, but not a deal breaker. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at the Montague Guest House and I can highly recommend it. Raj and Karen were terrific hosts; our room was large and immaculately clean; good breakfast; easy walk to everything in St. Andrews. We had originally booked at the Glenderran Guest House, but a few weeks before our stay they informed us that there had been a "booking error" and our stay was canceled. I suspect they received a booking from a group that wanted more than one room, hence they canceled our stay. Not sure if Maggie & Ray still own the place, but the experience certainly left a bad taste.
We stayed at the Old Station Guest House, which is a few miles outside of town and has ample free parking. It's on the road toward Anstruther. Would stay there again. If you'll be "commuting" into St. Andrews town every day, it might not be ideal for your group.
