We are attempting to pre-purchase a Spirit of Scotland (8 days travel in 15 days calendar) but found only three options on the ScotRail web site: 1) purchase at a staffed ticket office, 2) by phone, and 3) by submitting a "call back form online".
We did the latter and haven't received any contact for three (3) days.
So maybe you could try phoning.
It's sold for delivery to US addresses here on our site: https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/britain-rail-passes. Or else buy it in a Scottish train station upon arrival.
Learned we're attempting to book/purchase too far in advance of activation. We'll wait a fortnight and try again.
