Skye Camping

We plan to camp (with a tent) on Skye during the 2nd week of August. Most sites seem to be first come first served. Does anyone have experience with this during the busy season? Have you had good luck finding a place to pitch a tent? Thanks!

I was there in early June and all the campsites had "no vacancy" signs out. You may have left it too late to book peak season, but the weather has been dreadful up there, which may have put some people off going. Good luck finding something.
