We would like to see a working sheepdog demonstration while we are staying in Edinburgh. We won't have a car. Does anyone have a suggestion of one we could go to as part of a day tour in the Highlands or some other solution? Any and all advice (other than renting a car) will be very appreciated! Thanks!
Contact the Tourism Office in Edinburgh and see what they can tell you.
I tried Google and came up with scottishnationalsheepdogtrials.org.uk which has a diary of events. They seem to start at 8 or 9am and are on farms, so will be difficult to access without a car.
You could see whether there are any Highland Games on when you are here (you don't say when that is).
Or there is a working farm south of Aviemore that does demonstrations. https://www.secret-scotland.com/Attractions/sheepdog-demonstrations.html
You would need to get the train to Aviemore than a taxi from there.
