We are all set for our Scotland tour in September. Checking to see if anyone has found any good deals for flights over? We will be leaving from Charleston, SC. And likewise flights back to the states from Edinburgh.
Inverness is a very small airport, however Loganair does fly there from several UK airports-last August we flew from Belfast to Inverness at the end of the RS Ireland tour and out of Edinburgh back to Dulles using Air Canada to cross the pond.on a multi city ticket(IAD-DUB, EDN-IAD).
KLM also fly to Inverness I think. But as mentioned it is a very small airport and it might be easier to book a return ticket to Edinburgh.
Also BA fly to Inverness from Heathrow, and Easyjet fly from Gatwick. BA do through fares (transatlantic on AA) via Dallas and Heathrow.
If you fly transatlantic FROM Inverness, by connection, you apparently avoid APD.
