Four or five 60 and 70 year old women plan to travel by Scotrail through Scotland in April. Just wondering how to get the best prices,
Group Save or Club 50 or something completely different. It is a 2 week trip. Thanks, Tanya
Group Save only applies on certain routes, mainly in the Central Belt and around Aberdeen.
Club 50 doesn't give big enough discounts when you are over 60.
So look at buying 2 x Two Together Railcards and a Senior Railcard for the 5th person, which give 1/3 discount off fares.
Then using those buy a Spirit of Scotland Rover- currently £104 for 4 days in 8, or £131 for 8 days in 15, with railcard discount.
It includes the Glasgow Subway, Edinburgh Trams, selected bus routes and 20% off unberthed ferry travel on Northlink ferries to Orkney and Shetland, also to Belfast.
