the Trial period for Scotrail all day Off Peak fares has now been further extended to 27 September 2024

Today it has been announced that this trial is to end as scheduled on 27 September- it only resulted in a 6.8% increase in passenger numbers, where 10% was needed for the scheme to be self-financing.
However, in deep off peak, super off peak fares (lower than off peak) will be re-introduced on certain routes.
