We have just come back from an amazing trip to Scotland! We were guided once again by Rick Steve’s book- we followed him for past trips to Ireland and Italy and his advice never disappoints!
Every Bed and Breakfast we stayed in were recommended by Rick! 23 Mayfield in Edinburgh was a highlight as the room, the food and the hospitality were exceptional!
We wanted to share two other places which were not on his list, but we tried as there was no availability for his choices. We can highly recommend Seafar in the Isle of Skye. Our host Kirsty and her three delightful children, warmly welcomed us and provided a wonderful experience for two nights- great room, delicious food and an ideal location.
In Pitlochry we were delighted by our favourite hotel, The Birchwood! It is an exceptional charming Victorian hotel that goes above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable and welcomed. I hope Steve gets a chance to experience the hospitality, the atmosphere, the food and everything that makes this place so special!
