Strikes! I was in Stirling (train from Edinburgh) and verified rail info— numerous trains cancelled on numerous days. Buses may run but with less comfort and quantity. Sunday 19 June is a bus day.
I gave up 1 paid night stay in Stirling Youth Hostel (private en suite room) & trained to Inverness today (Sat 18 June). i didn’t travel 3400 miles to miss a fast long Scotrail journey as I adore European train travel (& have trained in many countries including Ger, Fr, Czech Rep, Poland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands & now, Scotland.)
£39 from Stirling to Inverness; less than 3 hours, clean, comfortable, scenic.
