Has anyone had any experience using the ferry from Glenelg to Skye? It's small, but sounds quite interesting.
But how about when tides are extreme in September??

Used it a few times ,it's a very short crossing and well protected from the west and big seas.
Both roads leading to it are memorable drives.

A memorable experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
And just as an aside should you ever watch the Patrick Dempsey film "Made of Honor" the Glenelg to Skye ferry features in it. The film is a RomCom and the story is a bit silly in places, but the Scottish scenery is fabulous.
