Scotland Itinerary Help for Family Trip

Hi everyone,
We are a large multigenerational group (5 adults, 4 children (ages: 2, 5, 8, 9) planning a trip to Scotland starting in Edinburgh on either June 12th or 13th. I have made a few bookings already. Here's what I've got so far:
Endiburgh 3-4 nights - Booked accommodations
Pick up car and drive to Isle of Mull where we'll spend 2 nights - Booked accommodations and Staffa boat tour
Glencoe area for 4 nights? - Not sure where to base our group. Looking for suggestions for this bit of the itinerary. I booked a house in Oban, but I am open for suggestions for other areas.
Skye 4 nights - Booked
After Skye we have 6-7 nights left before having to return home. This is where I could use more suggestions. I was thinking Aberdeenshire area to do some castle tours and maybe stay somewhere in Fife before driving to drop off the car to return home.
We all want to do many walks, the kids are up for anything outdoors. We may take the Harry Potter train, not sure yet. We may decide to skip it. Maybe a cruise on Loch Ness.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, recommendations, tips...that you are willing to share.
With kind regards,
Pamela

Well, after Skye you could head east towards Inverness, and stop at places like Culloden, Clava Cairns, then head to Nairn (wonderful beach town), Elgin with its gorgeous cathedral ruins, then continue following the coast down towards Aberdeen. You will find some wonderful coastal towns, fishing villages, incredible scenic views, nature reserves where you can see dolphins, seals and many other animals. It's a wonderful drive and there are plenty of places to stay.

You could also head south after Nairn, towards Grantown on Spey, then continue through to Cairngorms National Park, with it's wonderful hikes and walks.

FYI, I wouldn't count on the Harry Potter train as right now there are some safety issues with it, and it may be suspended as of the end of February.
