Hi, my family and I (3 persons) will be in Edinburgh around end of Apri 2025. We would like to join a tour from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye. Are there any tour guides you would recommend?

I assume you mean a multi day tour and not a day tour which would be a 5+ hour drive from Edinburgh. Try Rabbies, they have 3 and 4 day tours.

You don't say anything about what type of tour you might want, but you
also need something in the next week or two....
Rabbie's does small (up to 16 or 20) van tours where your driver is also your
guide. You can arrange your own lodging or they can do it for you. There
are a few companies that have this format. Rabbie's is excellent and reasonably
priced. I don't know if they have availability on any tours in the next few weeks.

Rabbies comes highgly recommended on this forum. You could also look at Timberbush or Highland Experience who also get good reviews. If you are wanting to visit Sky from Edinburgh, you need a tour that is at least three days.

Thanks for your recommendations. I would be expecting to do at least a two-day tour spending a night at Isle of Skype. I will check with them.

You definitely don't want to go to Isle of Skype; Microsoft is getting rid of it in May...
And I agree you want a 3 day or more tour. It's 3-4 hours from Edinburgh just to get
to Fort William.

A one night trip to to Skye is really not worth it if you want to see Skye. What you will see is lots of scenery from the windows of a bus. It takes me 5.5 to 6 hours to drive to my home on Skye from Edinburgh. You may well have left it too late to secure 3 places on a tour in April. Accommodation here books up very quickly and I suspect most Rabbies (and similar) tours will already be full or not able to secure overnight accommodation at such short notice. Good luck!

Rabbie's has 3 day tours to Skye in April and there is availability the entire week of the 21st.
There is also some availability on the 4 day Skye and West Highlands tour.
I would not bother doing much more research on other companies. Rabbie's is a very good
outfit, and you have no time to waste booking something, as lodging may also be a limiting
factor.
