Scotland in 13 Days Tour—if you've taken it recently

We’re going to arrive in Glasgow a couple of days before the tour begins and would like to avoid duplicating visiting sites that will be included in the tour. Some places we are considering are the Mackintosh at the Willow (tea rooms), the National Piping Centre, the Hunterian Gallery and Mackintosh House. Also, did you visit anything that you would recommend that aren’t included in the tour?

Have you contacted the RS office? I would imagine they could answer your question.

None of those places were on the tour. We enjoyed Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum as well as wandering the University of Glasgow’s campus. We did not do a lot of extra stuff in Glasgow as we opted to fly in and out of Edinburgh (easier from US for us) so spent a day and a half there and then bused to Glasgow (train strike so had to take bus). You are going to love the tour.

That's very helpful. Since we arrive on a bank holiday, walking around the University campus is a great idea. Thank you!
