I'm planning to visit Scotland this fall while my daughter is studying abroad in Glasgow. I love Halloween and Outlander, so-- being there at Samhain seems fun. I saw that there is an event in Edinburgh. Does anyone know of any other festive or educational Samhain events?

In terms of events, I think the Fire Festival thing you've seen might be your only option. Paganism is something of a niche interest.
I went to the Beltane festival on Calton Hill about 25 years ago. That was fun as I remember. I was very, very high though so that may have influenced my opinion of it. Sort of a poi-twirling hippy / traveller crowd back then. I feel any events in Edinburgh are going to be much more geared towards the visitor these days.
