We are traveling to Scotland for Christmas and will be staying 4 nights in Edinburgh we have 3 teaming nights and are wondering where to spend them. We are not interested in Glasgow. Would love to see scenery but are mindful of weather.

Will you be in Scotland at Hogmanay? What are "teaming nights?" How many people do they involve? Will you have access to cars or vans, or do you have to rely on public transportation outwith Edinburgh?

We arrive Scotland on the 22nd and depart on the 29th. We are staying in Edinburgh through the 26th but will get a car from the 26th through the 29th.
