Hi, We will be arriving in Edinburgh in early June. Could someone advise me on how much it cost for a taxi to our hotel in Edinburgh. An estimated guess?

Also, there is very easy public transit from the airport to the City Centre. And I say that as New Yorker who loves her taxi's. :) There is the tram and the bus. Also, if you're arriving via the train you need to let us know.

Taxi fare will vary according to the location of your hotel and possibly time of day (heavy traffic means slower travel, meter running). One good thing, our taxi gave us a coupon for a discount on our return trip to the airport. Not sure if all the taxi companies do this but it was nice.
