Anyone remember the time allowed for the tour stop at St. Andrews? Is there time to see both the cathedral ruins and some of the golf course? I'll grab a sandwich to go, rather than a sit-down lunch.
We start the tour on 7/5.

I think we were there about two hours. The bus drove us by the golf course first and then traveled a few blocks into the main business area where it dropped us off/ picked us back up. . The ruins are at far end of the business zone. It is a bit of a walk between the golf course and the ruins, but I think you could do it. You just couldn't linger at either place. Do a Google street view and try " walking" it virtually to see if you think it will work for you.
Hi Bill.,
We were on the RS tour in May and were let off the bus at thegolf museum by the golf course. Had time for a delicious lunch overlooking the course at The Links, walked through the university area to St. Andrews Cathedral ruins and back a different way stopping for ice cream Some of our group were going to try golf at the Himalayas, but it was taken up with a women's event. If you grab a sandwich, you should have plenty of time to experience St. Andrews. You are going to love this tour...Happy Travels.

Thanks, I'm a former caddy and golfer, so I'd like to spend the day! I'll report our experience in July.

the cathedral ruins , the castle and the Golf course are all quite close together so if you have a couple of hours you will have no problems seeing them all
