On Rick’s tour. Does anyone know of the arrival time in Oban after driving thru Glencoe. We have plans to meet up and visit 2 places nearby during free time. Is it around 3 pm 5 pm? Later? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Should I call ricks office for this question ?

When is your tour? Mine is coming up next month and I too am getting excited. As to your question, I am sure people here who have taken the tour can give you an estimate, but I'd just call the office and see what time they have in the schedule for estimated arrival in Oban.

I think you will need to call the office, but note that things/times can change on the fly due to the unforseen.

I just returned from the Scotland tour last week Aug 8.
We left Inverness at 9am and got to Oban by 4pm. The day included a stop at Spean Bridge, then Ft William for rest stop (I think this is the one where you had to pay to pee), then up to Glencoe to ride ski lift and have lunch break, then down to Oban, then free time for dinner. Our group was split between two guest houses in Oban.

Liz is absolutely correct. On our Scotland tour, we were involved in a minor 'accident' (other driver at fault) and had to wait for a new bus to be delivered to where we were stuck at the time.....definitely an unforeseen circumstance. This is the only time we have ever been off schedule (that I'm aware of) in my 22 tours but do know stuff can happen. I would like to say here that I could not believe how quickly the transportation problem was solved by our awesome guide, Anne and our equally awesome driver, Michel. For your meet up plans in Oban, I would advise you to plan and hope for the best but don't be disappointed if you have to make last minute adjustments to your plans. As an aside, where we waited for the new bus to be delivered happened to be in a very lovely place with a chocolate and tea shop right there!
