Suggestions for fabulous restaurants in St. Andrews. We are happy with any place that come highly recommended and may take reservations. We are told to have them ahead of time.

I highly recommend Haar, though their menu is basically fixed and it's pretty expensive (my meal there with wine came to over 200 GBP). But there are many other lovely places in the town. Honestly, the only disappointing meal I've had in St. Andrews was at Rogue, where they seem not to understand how to cook a steak rare.
If you like good craft beer, don't miss the St. Andrews Brewing Company. They also have very good pizza and sandwiches. Brewdog is also tasty but IMO much overpriced.
