I will be arriving on the train at 6 pm. I'd like to get dinner before getting my rental car and heading out of town. What is close and good, since id like to get in and out and on the road before it gets too dark. Will be there in 3 weeks on a Saturday. Thanks

There's a Nandos just around the corner from the Gordon St. exit, on Waterloo. Service was quick and food was okay.

Wagamama is about a 10 minute walk away from Glasgow Central Station, I believe. The service is fast, and the menu has a great variety.

A lot of it depends on what your tastes are, your budget, etc.
May be worth looking at a Google map around Central. There are a lot of eateries around there from the basic to the posh.
Also, where are you heading once you get the car? There may be places on route that are better choices.

My travel mate ate at the Turkish restaurant Rumi a few days ago and recommended it to me, then I went there for a later meal and was also pleased. Rumi's on Hope Street very near Glashow Central. Google shows a rating of 4.7. It's open every day and is not just a kebab house.

Personally I like Topolabamba in St Vincent Street for some very good Mexican food.
