We are staying two days in Glasgow before heading towards Glencoe. Please advise on best rental car locations for pick up to avoid as much traffic as possible. We are staying at the Hilton Doubletree and are willing to take a taxi etc to get to the rental car location. It will probably be Enterprise as it is coming up the best price for a 9 passenger.

If it was me, I would probably pick up at the Enterprise office at Glasgow airport. It's sort of on your way, and it will be much easier than trying to pick it up in town. Then you can just head on out without worrying about traffic, etc. You will have to pay a slight fee for airport p/u but it shouldn't be much.
You could, of course, take a cab to the airport, but the Airport bus will get you there quickly and much cheaper.
