Removal of through Rail Ferry fares in Scotland

Although still advertised on the Scotrail website there are no longer through Rail Ferry bookings to Clyde destinations.
This is a change which has apparently only happened in the last fortnight and is due to capacity problems on CalMac arising from fleet unreliability.
I only found out this morning when I couldn't find the through fares on the ticket machines at Glasgow Central, so had to do the old fashioned thing of asking the booking office clerk.
At the moment I don't know if it also applies to bookings to Craignure, Isle of Mull. I imagine it does as Mallaig to Armadale, Skye has also been removed from the scheme.
Yesterday Cal Mac had foot passengers stranded overnight on Arran, due to weather issues, and had to put them up overnight.

I guess that makes sense, considering there’s been so many cancellations. I read about those passengers. I hope they managed to find rooms for all of them. I’m taking the ferry from Tobermory to Kilchoan this morning, and then Mallaig to Armadale later this afternoon, and I just am keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well. I keep checking the app and everything‘s on schedule right now.

I had been wondering why I couldn't book on line for any of Plans A, B or C- Gourock, Annan or Mull.
With the weather forecast I've been in full planning mode.
Hope all goes well with your travels today.
You are due a change in success on the ferries.
There's a cruise ship in today at Greenock.

Today was forecast wet until mid afternoon.
In the event I have seen no material rain, and it turned to bright if cold sunshine with a fresh breeze mid afternoon. So a glorious day, and everything has run to time today.
Will write a trip report some time next week.
A great day.
