Like many others, we are sick and tired of the rest of the world walking over and leeching off the United States of America. We are due to vacation in Edinburg, Scotland next month and absolutely will not pay the new tourist tax. We saved your asses in multiple wars, keep your economy afloat and even supply most of your goods. I hope/assume most hotel owners will understand this and let the matter drop but have any other Americans done this? What was the outcome?

the outcome will be that your credit card will be charged. And you will pay. Unless you are traced first and then you won't be allowed in. Even the Trump owned golf resorts will be collecting the tax. If you don't like it stay away, Scotland won't miss you.
I've seen many Americans who can't spell Edinburgh, one who can't spell Mardee is a first!

if the same person is cropping up on a regular basis then there should be a review of Moderation because it is clearly failing. If someone does this and doesn't get shot down in flames it encourages others,which will just drag the forum down.
As for moderation standards, I saw some spam today which had been reported 26 hours earlier and not dealt with.

It’s a small moderation team and they don’t work weekends.
