Trying to predict the weather is Scotland is like trying to predict the fourth place finisher at Santa Anita.

Good luck.

I've been in Scotland for the past two weeks. We've had two amber warnings for rain. Both days it drizzled.

On my second day here I woke up to unexpected heavy snow fall leaving about 3 inches on the ground. There had been no prediction of snow.

This morning I woke up to a 7% chance of rain all day. It rained on and off.

The best advice I can give for weather in Scotland is.....be prepared for anything. And it can turn in the blink of an eye.

All my friends here say, when I mention the unpredictable weather is.....Welcome to Scotland.

The forecast was definitely right for Skye. The burn beside our property is in full spate and the garden is flooded. The roads around me (Glendale area) are flooded with water running off the braes. Not a day to be outside if you can avoid it. Still plenty of tourists around here, so I feel really sorry for them today.
