Rabbie's Tours

I booked a multi-day Rabbie's tour for the first week in September. I booked my own lodgings rather than have the tour operator book them. Given that it's just over a week away I'm a little surprised that I haven't heard anything from the tour company, even just a "hey, a reminder that your tour is coming up, be sure to meet at XX place at XX time on XX date or we'll leave without you!" I haven't done many tours so I'm not sure what's common? I double checked my email from when I signed up and it all looks in order, but I obviously don't want to show up to the tour to find it's overbooked.

I haven’t done a Rabbie’s Tour but I usually reach out by email to any tour I have booked and confirm with them a week ahead of time. You might try doing that. I know it always makes me feel better to get that extra confirmation.

Last year, we booked three one-day tours with Rabbies, and received emails ahead of time. I would definitely email them to make sure everything is good to go.

Rabbie’s Tours are on my itinerary next year. I suggest you email them. They were responsive when I had a question.

Did you email them with your accommodations info?

When you made your booking, you should have received a confirmation email (it sounds like you did). This email has the departure location and time. This website has more detail on the departure site:

https://www.rabbies.com/en/info/about-us/departure-points

In your email, under accommodation, it should state “client booked” if you provided the name of your hotel. The email also has info. on the luggage allowance.

So, if you have all of that, you are good to go. As mentioned above, you can email them to double check if you like, but the booking email is your confirmation. It’s like when you book a hotel far in advance. The hotel does not send out a reminder because they already provided confirmation when you booked.

Have a great tour!! I’ve done a couple of day tours with Rabbie’s and will try a couple of their multi day tours next year.

I did 3 multiple day Rabbies tours back in May. I don’t think they send you a reminder email but I would definitely email or give them a call to let them know where your hotels are. This will help the driver /guide figure out the order for drop off and pick up. Are you taking the tour from Edinburgh? Make sure you check in with the staff at the bus station that you’re there. I didn’t because we took our other tours out of London and Bristol and the bus drivers checked us in. I thought the Rabbies staff were just answering questions. We were sitting there waiting for our bus to show up and I got a phone call from Rabbies looking for me! And we had been sitting there for over 30 minutes.
