I will be in Oban this summer, and would like to get to Perth to ride the very scenic West Highlands Railway from there to Inverness. Does anyone know if there's a fast/convenient way to get from Oban to Perth by any public transport? thank you, Susan

The West Highland Line is the Glasgow to Oban/Fort William and Mallaig.
The Perth to Inverness is the Highland Main Line.
The #978 Citylink bus leaves Oban for Edinburgh at 0920 daily for Stirling via Tyndrum, Lochearnhead and Callander, arriving at Stirling at 1205. There you cross the road to the railway station for the 1233 train to Inverness, arrive 1529.
We are awaiting news currently on whether Ember Bus will or won't be starting a new more frequent year round Oban to Edinburgh service.
