Has anyone used a private guide in Edinburgh you would recommend? One person in our party is immunocompromised with limited stamina and we would like to book short tours where we can walk at our own pace or be driven. We may also hire someone to drive us to Glasgow. Any recommendations appreciated! Thank you.
Rabbies offers private tours for groups of any size. I have no personal experience with their private guide services, but the small-group tours are great.

It’s a wonderful initiative for local women to be guides of their home town.
We are heading to Edinburgh next week. We’ve booked two Rabbies group tours and then one day of private touring with them. They were very easy to work with - I gave them my focus ideas and they emailed me a beautiful itinerary - with pictures and excellent details. Then, we emailed back and forth for a few changes - and I booked the trip.
We won’t actually take the trip until later this month but so far I’m happy. It’s expensive for a 9 hour touring day but our situation is similar to yours - one traveler has some limited stamina and so we pay more to make it work.
I reached out to a few other places too - but we were booking late and everyone else was full.
We used Mercat Tours for a group walking tour of the Royal Mile. It's possible they might offer a private tour so it would be worth it to contact them. We were very happy with our tour.
