We are a small group of 10 wanting to hire a private driver and vehicle for a day trip - probably Stirling and St Andrews. Does anyone have a company or person they can recommend?

You might check with Heart of Scotland tours. They indicate that they can do custom tours.

It is, you'll see of course, Rabbies not Rabies :-) Rabies is a rather unfortunate disease. It's a typo I've seen more than once on here. There hasn't been a confirmed case of rabies in the UK for 100 years or so, if I remember correctly. Rabbie's is the short form of Robert in Scotland. Rabbie Burns being the most famous holder of that forename. More commonly, a Scottish Robert would be known as "Rab" to his friends.
