I have not but I love staying on St. Andrew’s Square. Plenty of restaurants and a quick walk down one block to Princes Street and the gardens.

Stayed at the one in Dublin. Sign up for the membership then get free excellent breakfast. Rooms were small.

Not a “traditional pub” but Dishoom at St. Andrew’s Square was great Indian food and a fun pub experience.

Here’s another fan of St. Andrew Square. As Pam mentioned, it’s just a lovely place to stay, with flowers and trees and just a really nice atmosphere. And Dishoom is a great restaurant. It’s sort of like age Indian food. They’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can book ahead for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner.

The best thing is that it’s a little bit away from the heavy tourist center of Edinburgh.
