Does anyone have a good idea where to book overnight for 3 nights? 3 adults and 4 children (ages 17-11),
I know we will need two rooms for out family

Is the trip this summer? If so, it is likely to be a matter of where you can find rooms. Demand in Portree significantly exceeds supply. You might take a look at booking.com to see who has vacancies for your dates.
If you're traveling next summer, that's a completely different story.

If you need rooms very soon, you may find this Facebook group page helpful: Skye Rooms. Its description includes the following: "live feed of last-minute cancellations, special deals and offers!" It can definitely provide you with information about specific accommodations on the island. It could be a starting point.

We stayed at the Bosville hotel with our two kids (all of us in the same room, which was big). There is a pub and restaurant attached to the hotel. We loved it.

Skye Rooms facebook page is the only way to go if your trip is in the next couple of months. Accommodation providers provide up to date last minute availability. The group is friendly and pretty much everyone gets sorted out with a place to stay. If you are willing to widen your search beyond Portree all the better.
