We'll be staying there for 1 night in September. Has anyone gone to the Pitlochry theater? Worthwhile? Looks like if we book in advance we can get tickets for 15£ per person.

I haven't seen a play there, but I did see Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham perform. It's a nice theatre, not too big. I really enjoyed it. I would go again, and try one of the plays.
BTW the Explorer's Garden is interesting to visit. It's near the theatre, but you'd want to do it in the day.
Also, I stayed on the other side of the river, but didn't want to drive over and back. I booked a cab through my hotel. They took me over and picked me up. I would recommend arranging a bit in advance if you want to go that route as there are a limited number of taxi's and they get booked for the theatre. It's small town Scotland. :)
