Pitlochry and surrounding area Oct 20-26

Hi all,
I understand the weather is expected to be wet and windy during this time with limited daylight. Any suggestions for a day trip from Pitlochry? Is it likely too late for Glencoe? Is Aviemore recommended at this time following damage incurred during the summer wildfire?
Thanks in advance,
Theresa

Will you have a car or are you dependent on public transport?

Blair Castle is open daily until 30th October 10-5pm with last entry at 3.45

Dunkeld & Birnam (two villages served by one train station) is an easy train ride from Pitlochry. Dunkeld Cathedral is the main draw that wouldn't be weather-dependent, but if it's a nice day, visiting Birnam Oak, strolling the streets of Dunkeld, and walking along the Tay River are definitely worth a day trip.

Thank you both! I appreciate the info. We will not be renting a car and will need to rely on public transportation or a taxi or private driver.
