Photography Advice - waterfalls & Skye

Cheers! My family and I are making a sojourn to Scotland from Alaska this June. My Ma came over in 1957 and hasn't been back since. We're spending three days in Troon, four days on Skye then three days in Edinburgh. Does it get dark enough in June to do any night photography?

I'm hoping to have some light shed on photo opportunities. After Troon we're driving to Mallaig via Glencoe and catching the ferry to Armsdale. My mom doesn't get along well due to a bad leg from a car accident. What are some must-see places along the drive that don't require a lot of walking? Any waterfall opportunities along the way? How do the Scottish waterfalls look in June?

As for Skye, I plan on having some early mornings and late nights to shoot. Would the Fairy Pools have better light around sunrise or sunset? Same question for the Sligachan bridge/river and Kilt Rock. Does anyone have good advice for Brides Veil Falls, Eas a' Bhradain or Skye Rha? When are the best times for light at the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing and also, if a guy had to choose one, which would be more appealing for scenery and photography? What's a good time to photograph Eileen Donan Castle? I aim to try to beat the crowds or wait them out if possible. Are there any other areas or waterfalls I should devote some time to?

Lastly, we'll be driving to Edinburgh directly from Portree. Any advice on routes, scenery and waterfalls along that drive would be tremendously appreciated! I can't begin to share the excitement felt by visiting my roots. I know a lot of the questions I've posed have relative info on the internet but I've read virtually everything and am hoping to gain some firsthand information.

THANKS!!!

I can't answer your questions directly, but having had some similar questions in mind last year, I used an itinerary from Secret Scotland to help me plan what to do on our driving days. We saw many sites we would not have seen without their insight.
