Perth question

There seem to be 4 or 5 car rental places in Perth. I guess you could contact a couple about the RR station, but another way is to go with the business that suits you best re car, price, business hours, and just grab a taxi there when you arrive by train.

A quick google search suggests that Europcar is very close to Perth station.

Enterprise seem to have acquired some good reviews from their Perth location. If their rental fees seem good by comparison, you may want to contact them about picking you up at the train station. They seem very flexible in that regard, at least at other locations.

Depending upon your final destination before leaving Scotland, you may find it less expensive to hire your car from Glasgow or Edinburgh. There are more car hire companies, and with more competition, the prices are likely to be lower. If you rent from either airport (easily accessible from the train stations in either city), you can escape without having to drive in city traffic.

There is a Eurocar office practically attached to the train station in Perth (a very short walk). We dropped our car there and then took the train to Edinburgh. Very convenient for us (we travel light so each had only one small suitcase).
