My partner and I will be in Edinburgh for 4-5 days in March for a conference. A friend told me to check out the possibility of traveling from Edinburgh to Northumbria and environs (including Holy Island) for a day. But it looks as if none of the tour-bus operators (Haggis, Rabbie's, etc.) offer such tours in March. Does anyone know of tour operators that do offer tours in March? Thanks very much!

they all seem to start in April, with the exception of this one that starts in late March 2016 https://www.heartofscotlandtours.co.uk/wizards_warriors.php. You can get the train to Berwick upon Tweed, and then take a bus to Holy Island in March - but no guided tour:

But watch out- Lindisfarne is accessible by a tidal causeway, and time and tide waits for no man and so the Island can be off limits at the most inconvenient times.
