Jet Blue started direct flights from JFK to Edinburgh on Tuesday of this week- a new alternative, especially for those paying fares, rather than using points.
So you could fly multi city on Jet Blue into Edinburgh, and back from London for example, or vice versa.
Will be interesting to see if the new competition on this route has any effect on Delta’s fares for it.
It probably will affect both Delta and United's fares between NYC and EDI.
The amount of Jet Blue FF points needed are in close comparison to both Delta and United.
I also have to wonder if the very low Jet Blue fares offered now are a temporary come on to get people to fly the route.
I will be flying this new route tomorrow!
I also heard that JetBlue and British Airways are planning a codeshare partnership--I wonder how that will affect fares?
