HIGHLANDER REBOOT RUMOURED TO BE FILMING IN NORTH SKYE
Residents and visitors in the north of Skye are being warned of temporary disruption amid growing speculation that filming for the Highlander reboot is to take place in the area. Highland Council told Radio Skye it was unable to share details of the project because of “confidentiality”. But the local authority did confirm several car parks will be closed later this month.
Car park closures:
Kilt Rock / Mealt Falls car park – 15 to 17 April
Quiraing car park – 16 to 17 April
Storr car park – 16 to 17 April
The original 1986 cult classive made use of several Highland locations, including the Quiraing, the Cuillin and Eilean Donan Castle. The new film stars Henry Cavill, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski at the helm.

Sharing as this is expected to have a major impact on visitors wishing to visit these major tourist sites. No parking on the road will be possible so people will have to make alternative plans.
