The MV Isle of Islay, the first of two new ferries for Islay, was handed over to CMAL on 15 January in Turkey.
She should arrive in Scotland after a two week delivery voyage from Turkey via Gibraltar in mid February and be in service by around Easter.
This will bring much needed resilience to the big vessel fleet.
EDIT- Her delivery voyage commenced on 22 January, with a first refuelling stop at Catania (Italy) on 25 to 27 January, then Gibraltar for the second refuelling stop on 31 January.
