This Bus Route could be convenient for those hiking the West Highland Trail from or to Fort William.

This sounds great. I'm going to Oban in early September and need to get to Fort William with 4 people and luggage. Will the bus have room for luggage? More than just backpacks. Thanks!

Shannon, I'm sure Stuart will have more information for you.

In the meanwhile, here is the Ember FAQ page. Your luggage should be no problem.

Just as on Citylink the big bags go in the hold underneath the bus on Ember. What they don't want happening is people turning up with everything including the kitchen sink.
But they are presently using 38 seater buses on the route, with the same size hold as if the bus took 53 (like Citylink/West Coast Motors) so by definition there is more room for luggage.
Citylink actually charge you (or reserve the right to) for a 2nd large case- https://www.citylink.co.uk/conditions-of-carriage/
