I am attending an event in Musselburg, Scotland at Queetn Margaret University right outside of Edinburgh. I'd like some suggestions on places to stay and any other suggestions. Thank you.

Queen Margret's often provide accommodation outwith the main university times so worth asking them it will be in the student halls. You can stay in Edinburgh city centre and get trains to Musselburgh they take about 10-12 minutes,the station in Musselburgh is 2 minutes walk from the university also several buses from the city centre to the university that stop right outside, take 40 -50 minutes from Edinburgh city centre. I actually live about 15 minutes by bus from Musselburgh. There is a Premier Inn at Newcraighall that is not bad and takes a about 10 minutes by bus to the university and they run every 12 minutes during the day every 20 minutes at night and there are even late night buses every hour from around midnight

btw the university is on the outskirts of Musselburgh close to the A1 road and not actually in the town of Musselburgh itself

May is the end of the Academic year, so worth checking with the university about staying there, the student halls are used a lot over the summer months for accommodation. it is a very modern campus which only opened about 12 years ago on a purpose built site.
