I’m planning an upcoming trip this June to Edinburgh and was looking forward to visiting the Museum of Childhood again in Edinburgh. I visited with my family back in 2018, but this time my parents will be visiting with me and I know they would love the little museum. However, when I checked online, it said the museum is temporarily closed due to the pandemic and they’re hoping to reopen soon. Does anyone know anything further about this or additional details?

Kathleen, checking their website and it clearly states We remain closed for the time being due to post pandemic maintenance. We're looking forward to reopening soon although we don't have a date to share yet. Apparently they are working 'to transform it into a new world-leading museum of design and creativity for children and young people'
Follow ramblin' on's advice and contact them nearer the time to check if they are likely to be open in June.
Just curious, but I'd be interested in a "Museum of Old People." It could be entertaining.
