Moder-Dye Falls

I saw a Youtube about a place the author called Moder-Dye and it's where the Tingon Burn enters the N. Atlantic. None of the travel sites have any references to it. I think I know where it is, but I'm not sure how you get there. Anyone have a guide on how to visit? We'll be in Eshaness already.

Tingon is too small to be picked up on Google Maps. You need the 1:25,000 Ordnance survey maps to find it. Using the OS maps on Bing Maps, the directions given in the link quoted by Cynthia are spot on. From Braewick, take the unclassified road to Hamnavoe. Just before Hamnavoe there is a rough track which leads to Tingon. There is no marked path to follow to reach the waterfall- walk across the rough grassland following the instructions in the blog. You probably need sturdy shoes or boots as it could be wet underfoot. Also be prepared with waterproofs as there will be no shelter if it rains!

If you are spending much time in the area, it is worth getting the relevant OS maps, The 1:25000 are the ones used by all serious hill walkers.

Thanks!

I think the info above will get me to the goal, if I find we have enough time to not rush over and back.
