I know all of us here are missing being in Scotland, even those who are planning their first trip. Here's a little something to cheer you up:

I am missing Scotland. Besides, my 2nd great grandfathers came from Scotland. I missed the Shetlands terribly.

Hopefully my June 2021 tour is a go to the outer Hebrides. If not, then we will try 2022.

We did the Scotland tour in 2018 and loved it!

My best friend bought a flat in Edinburgh at the end of 2019. We haven’t been able to see it or any of our friends and family in over a year. Is really frustrating. But our friends have been sending bits and bobs and goodies to hold us over until we can visit again.

I bought a Lonely Planet Scotland book a while back (gasp) and it just didn't inspire any passion to go to Scotland, so I kind of forgot about it. Then my wife suggested it again so I picked up a Rick Steves Scotland book. Wow, what a difference! Now I'm excited to go there and can't wait for travel for be feasible again.

Hoping for 3 weeks in April/May of next year but suspecting we may have to wait until later in the year or 2022. So sad to think of all the adventures lost during these pandemic times.
