Due to a lack of serviceable ferries CalMac have cancelled all sailings on the Mallaig to Armadale route between 27 March and 11 April.
This is to allow the ship to be redeployed elsewhere to maintain essential lifeline services to other island communities.
In the case of Armadale there is the alternative route via the Skye Bridge, so the route is not an essential service.
This does not yet seem to be on the CalMac website, but is derived from the local press and the local MSP.
